Introduction

On this page, you'll learn about how you can connect Abby with Xero & Xero Practice Manager. We are proud to be Xero App Partners to bring you Abby.


What Does This Integration Do?

Abby integrates with Xero & Xero Practice Manager to perform hundreds of calculations, create a series of draft workpapers and manual journals for your review. Getting Started

When you create a new Abby account (practice), you will be instructed to connect to Xero Practice Manager. Once you have connected to Xero Practice Manager, all your clients will be pulled through into Abby. Please note, depending on the size of your practice, this could take several minutes.

Once you have done this. You can connect an individual client with Xero by navigating to the client page, and pressing the connect button.

We are actively working on providing a video, but in the meantime, please contact your Abby account manager. You will be guided how to complete this process as part of your onboarding.

Why does Abby need to integrate with Xero?

Abby integrates with Xero to take over routine accounting tasks. First, it sets up your financial reports and tax returns by pulling data straight from Xero. Then, it checks that data against bank statements and other financial records to make sure everything matches up. You review and tweak as needed, and Abby creates draft reports, ready for your review and finalisation.

Without Xero, it wouldn't be possible to effectively process your client's ledger and post draft manual journals.

Do I need Xero & XPM to use Abby?

Yes, you do. Abby is designed to work hand-in-hand with Xero.

Do I need to be a Tax Agent?

Yes. We have designed Abby for accounting practices in New Zealand.

Does Abby prepare manual journals?

Yes she does. Abby creates draft journals for entertainment, interest expense for loans, GST and wages variances, creditors and debtors, home office, etc. - Ready for your review and posting.
